Like the title ask's, Will the whipple Supercharger from the Lightning bolt up to my 99 5.4L DOHC 32v engine? and what is the compression ratio of the Lightning's SOHC Enging?

 

I cant believe no one knows this. I was told it would " most likely would i would just need the engine wireing harness and PCM". But i want to make sure.

2V SOHC heads are nothing like the 4V DOHC heads. It will not even come close to fitting.

thats what i was thought. I have had my hopes up for about a week now thinking it might work.

 

i'll second that comment, the supercharger will only bolt on a 2v 5.4 head

 

How about the 03-04 cobra's supercharger? its 4.6L dohc 4v.

 

With some flat aluminum bar stock and a CNC mill as well as a lot of programming knowlege it might be done.

 

like the difference between the 302 and 351w, the 4.6 and the 5.4 the difference is hight and width. you might be able to do it with spacers. check with keny bell and see if they make a supercharger kit for a 5.4 dohc.

 

No. 2V heads and 4V heads are radically different.

if your wanting a blower that will be a direct bolt on application trying looking up the ford gt's supercharger. that was a supercharged 5.4 dohc

 

Won't work unless you get the GT cylinder heads. They're completely different than any other DOHC head.
