GAS TANKS AND FUEL PUMPS

I could be wrong but I think so... I used the high pressure fuel pump off my 89 351w on my 88 300 I6... but they have the same pump set up... One low pressure in each tank and one high pressure pump on the frame rail... i think the amount of gas given to the engine is more determined by the size of the injector...

welcome to FTE... I went back to check and it doesn't look like the 94 has an external pump like the 89 has. So I am assuming that your 89 has a low pressure pump in the tank that sends gas to a high pressure pump externally mounted on the frame. The 94 has a high pressure pump in the tank that sends the gas all the way to the fuel rails... Ergo the 89 tank will need to be fitted with a high pressure in-tank pump like the 94 tank had... I don't have anything newer than a 89 F250 so another user might be able to confirm my theory...

The 300-6 pump running with no vacuum to the FPR is around 60 PSI and the 302-8 is about 45 PSI.
The frame pump on the 89 and the in-tank pump on the 94 should both put out about 100 PSI into a blocked head.

Well no the operating pressure is higher on a 300-6 than the 302-8.
