Fuel Tank Overflow
My 1993 f150 4x4 5.8 has the dual tank option, I can only put gas in the rear tank, if I try to pump gas into the front tank it overflows, I know there is no gas in the front tank.

In addition ... your tank is probably over full and the float is bad. I thought the same thing becuase my tank would not work when it did before and the guage use to work, but said empty ... it had at least 16 gallons in it when I siphoned the gas out before removal. You probably need both a new pump and float ... the sender is probably good, the float is about $7 at most parts stores.
