hey guys, i'm looking at a 79 f250 4x4 that i might buy, but only if it has a d60 front, otherwise it's not cost effective for me to buy it since i can get an axle for half the price of the truck and just weld on the c's and put it in my bronco. i'd rather sell the bronco and start with a leaf sprung truck if i could though, and this one is in my price range and in better shape.
the guy sent me the vin and some numbers from the door jab. i asked for pics of the hub and axle too, but i don't think he has a camera phone so idk if i'll get them. the vin# is:f26slej1761 and the door jam #'s are 133 h f264 bt4 k b49
i don't know what all you can tell from these numbers, but any axle info would be greatly appreciated. he said the truck was ordered new with the snow plow package which makes me think snowfighter with a d60, but i didn't know if they offered more than one plow package back then or not. if anything denotes snowfighter please let me know, thanks-dan
yeah, and i told you i didn't want to have to rely on your reading comprehension skills
looks like i can't go wrong on this truck. never had a 203 truck before, but i have a 205 laying around, maybe a doubler down the road????
original owner with build sheet, thats cool in my book.
