Im sure someone out has the means to pull a cab in there home shop. no tilt nose needed to do anything just have to be more creative then what you are working on.
I wouldn't bet on these new trucks having a shorter service life. As a matter of fact, I'm betting just the opposite.
Larry NCKS, I hope your right but I think you'll be wrong , these trucks are too tech and not accessible for service work, most small business owners can not afford to just send there truck to the dealer for servicing they need to do most if not all the service work in house, the dealers just charge too much per hour, my local shop is at 120 per hour for an F-450 and up, all of Fords previous diesel could be serviced under a shade tree with a couple of six packs on the side, try that with a new tech motor....
God forbid somebody take the time to learn a new unit and buy the proper tools to diagnose and repair it...
Have you had any experience with the newer trucks?

Well thats a Bad *** statement , lets be nice okay ...
If you look back through the Ford truck line you notice big leaps and bounds changes in the engines they were at one time user friendly and serviceable under the ole shade tree not so anymore the Ford has up graded the engines and the body is still relatively the same and its a huge hassle to do any service work due to all the tech under the hood and behind the fenders a bloomin idiot could figure out that theres space issues here , time to up grade the body like the engines and engineer a tilt nose , I bet Ford truck sales would go through the roof with a tilt nose too.
And btw I am darn near 50 years old bought my first Ford truck 33 years ago and at the time it was "a newer truck" , lots of time in the saddle here....
I don't consider them to be not serviceable anymore. I hear comments like that from a lot of people who don't take the time to learn the new technology and refuse to use anything other than a screwdriver and a 9/16" wrench to work on a vehicle.
Tilt nose? Yeah right. Those are real easy for the average joe blow to tilt and use let alone figure out. I bet Ford sales wouldn't be affected by a tilt nose.
Now, have you had any experience with a newer truck or are you just armchair quarterbacking it? You know exactly what I am asking...
