Semi Urgent-Windshield Wipers not functioning

So, with the 7.5 inches of snow we got on top of the 2 inches of sleet and ice over the week, my windshield wipers don't want to play anymore. I made sure all the snow/ice mixture was off the windshield and the area where the wipers go in to the cowl. I can hear the motor run and turn, but the wipers don't budge. I'm thinking it may be the connection between the two, how hard is it to get to this and fix it? Thanks in advance.

You will want to take off the wiper arms first. Lift up on them and there is a little tab on the side near the post that you pull out. Let down on the arm, so the spring tension is off and remove the wiper arm. There are about a dozen phillips head screws holding the cowl down, and then it just comes off. You connecting ends might have popped off, or need to be tightened.

Thanks Wallz. Hoping that that's all it is, just something that needs to be tightened up or something that just popped off.
