No Ethanol Please
Yep thats the bottom line!! I hate ethanol and wont use it. Our local Wal-mart sells it. If you want to see a huge 20% drop in gas mileage then use ethanol... crap....
The problem is that the MTBE is outlawed (I believe) as an additive so they are now using ethanol...where do you repeatably find non-ethanol fuel???
I'm with you guys that would rather NOT use ethanol blended fuels...but where do you find it???

It is not going to go away in the cornbelt that is for sure. Now with BP using it in ALL blends of gas(thats right ALL) it is here!!!! It cost oil companies very little to blend it so they are moving towards it now for higher profits. BP is even investing in ethanol plants for production. Koch, a major player in oil industry and chemical, is one of the leadeing marketers of ethanol. Most of the ethanol moved across the country is shipped by Koch. They buy it then sell it to other fuel terminals for blending. It is all controled by the oil companies one way or another, and I don't blame them. If I were them I would try and control it too. The people WE vote into office is the only place it will change. We have to stop putting people into office that are willing to subsidies businesses that otherwise would fail do to lack of market (can you say Amtrack). It starts with people actually believing in their point of view and getting their lazy buts out to vote. Even our glorious tree huggin Al Gore(as long as theres money in it) has said ethanol is not the answer(now that global warming has been debunked--no-money in it now).
Now I'm pissed! every year I take the kids to Starved Rock State park in Illinois. Around this time the trees around the dam at the Rock are full of American Eagles. Very cool to see. They fish there cause the lakes in Minn.and Wis. are frozen. Anyway I live 70 miles away and there is a Phillips 66 that has pure gas 4 mile from it. When I merged onto I80 I hit reset on the Lie-o-meter. WhenI pulled off at the exit I averaged 13.8 mpg. Thats what I always get. 65 miles per hour under 2000rpm the whole way. Well I filled up the pure gas on the way home and drove the same way back. Just before I left the Hiway I hit the button to see what I did on the ride home. 16.4. Really? are you kidding me? If I ran this all the time I would do alot better than that. I think I will bring a lawsuit aganist the fuel companys for purposely supplying us with bad product to make us pay more. They must offer both ways to be fair. I have the money to pay for gas, its the principle

The other issue is the gas you got in the Chicagoland is reformulated, meaning it is formulated for more polution control. This is manditory in heavy populated areas like Chicago to Rockford. The gas in Utica or near there is not. Even if it had ethanol it would be better. Sorry.
That is what happens when you have tree huggn lobbist whom speak for less than5% of America and way to high of a percent that don't believe it DON"T VOTE!!!!! They sit at home and let Gov. grow until it can't be changed for a generation.Yet they complain cuz thier taxes get spent on BS like ethanol, and Amtrak.
