well looking at Broncograveyard, they seem to be the hasle because its a $100 less than L&L. What was wrong with broncograveyard?

I have a 93 F350 460 4x4. The Bronco Graveyard site didn't list L&L headers for my truck. They all said "without straight axle". So I emailed the graveyard describing my truck. They responded with the part number that I should order, which I did (back in November). After three months of waiting and calling for status I had not received the headers. I understand that L&L had trouble getting anything plated by the plater they use. At this point I had the graveyard send me a set in black (not nickel plated). When I received the headers they were not for an EFI motor and had the old style ports. I called the graveyard to explain the situation. The guy there told me it was my fault because I ordered the headers online and I would have to pay return shipping as well as shipping for the correct headers. When I told him that the part number I ordered was provided by their tech department he asked if I specifically stated that it was an EFI motor. I said no they were all EFI's as far as I know. His response was that I could have swapped in a different motor and how was he supposed to know my truck? This pretty much ended the conversation as I was getting nowhere. I called L&L directly and they worked with me to get the right headers. Turns out they had the correct ones (plated no less) the entire time. If the graveyard knew what they were doing I would have gotten the correct plated headers back in November.

I was looking at maybe some thorley's or L&Ls for my 96 f250.. I happened to stop in at Summit one afternoon and they had a set of the Hedmans on their return rack for $129 so I bought them since they were so cheap... Their not too bad, I only had to retighten the flanges once but the collectors are constantly getting loose... I double nutted last time around and now they seem to be holding.. I really wished they were ceramic coated... Other than those issues they function great and after having having done all the other standard perfomance mods they really made a big difference over the stock manifolds...of course I test piped the cat and ran 3" all the way back at the same time... I guess what I'm getting at is their not junk but fit and finish isn't as good as the others but their alot cheaper price wise too I guess..

hedeman actually makes some pretty nice headers. I think they call them elite's or something. ceramic coated. My cousin has the on his F250 with an auto. Loves em. But they don't make them for trucks with 5 speeds.

so I read on hedmans website that the painted headers basically will not last unless they have some form of protective coating. And to pay for their coating brings the headers up to over $600. And for that price I would definately buy L&L's instead. Do you know what the other guy put on his headers? I noticed they weren't black??

Well I got my headers but I got the headers with air injection. I guess bronco grave yard doesn't sell normal l&l without air injection. Well I got things worked out where I'm going to trade my headers back for a regular set of with just egr.

It took 6 hrs to get those damn manifolds off and only broke off 2 bolts and apparrently i had 1 bolt broken off which kind of explain the exhaust leak. The damn EGR took like 2-3 hrs alone to take off. now i got to figure out if i need some certain egr ports from the manifolds to work with the engine. I think the only port i get from L&L is on the drivers side and its the top port on the manifold. any suggestions
