Not to shabby, Steve! Mine lopes when it's really cold though, and hardly turns over. Do you have a gear reduction starter? Because it turned over pretty good there. Funny they sound like a couple rods got stretched with the knocking until they warm up. My old 390 did that, but it had some messed up rod bearing journals on the crank. It would knock for a few seconds when I started it. That was another tough FORD motor.

Ya, I used to beat the crap out of that $500 beater. Five different colors when I bought it. My favorite vehicle till I got my PSD. I don't beat my PSD though. Just overload it and work it hard like it was made to do.

How ya like me now!! 10 below again tonight. Bought a starter a year and a half ago. saved the receipt. $ 189.00 life time warranty. Gave me a new one no questions asked. I guess 20 years of saving receipts paid off this time. God Bless.

Supposed to be around 70 for the weekend and all next week. You can keep that cold stuff. I've had enough to last me a couple of years.
