I am with Travis and Chris(F350-6).I would rather have 100 degrees and sweat pouring off of me than this crap.Makes the beer better here when it is hot!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't care what they say about dry cold wet cold,it is damn cold here at 10 degrees and 25 mph wind.I have been out in it all day 3 days trying to keep a chemical plant running and we are about to lose the battle.
I'll be on my way to your fair, warm state next week. Compared with what we just went through, anything even near the freezing mark will be awesome. The kids and I have decided that if the daytime highs get to the mid 50's we're going swimming in the gulf.
haha. Ok, we have 2 Chris' in this thread. I was refering to F350-6. He is also Chris. LOL.
Just changed the GPR. Glow plugs work great now. Guess we will see what happens tomorrow morning. As usual, while fixing that, I found another problem. Fuel leak!!! If there is one thing I hate, it's leaks. I have a hard time tolerating leaks. It's the rubber push-loc feed line. It's dry cracked all the way down.. Fuel system has only been run for about 35k miles..
I feel for you guys up north. Some of you have it rough. It's pretty dang frigid in Albuquerque too lately. -10 or so last couple nights with lots of wind. It's about 3 now, wind is gone and might get to 20 today. We should see mid 40s (normal) by the weekend. I don't usually drive the Stroker to work. She's tucked in the garage. I drove the Bronco to work 2 days this week due to snow. Now the roads are clear and it's just plain cold so I'm back to the Stang. I'm getting ready to head to the grocery store at lunch to get some pork ribs for the game Sunday. I don't think I'll have to worry about them getting too warm in the car this afternoon. Hang in there ya'll!!
Hahaha cold in texas. I guess you had to take the skirt off and actually put some pants on eh? Lol. This is me plowing the 18 inches with 50 mph gusts we got last night. Oh ya -10 tonight. At 15° id be walking around in nothing but a banana hammock

You guys got dumped on. Just missed us. Still a little cold.Looks like fun plowing, especially with a PSD.
The gas company just shut off gas to the entire military base I work on - Kirtland AFB in Abq. Tens of thousands work here - civilian and military. Gotta love it!
I'm going to talk to the recruiter again. I would MUCH rather be back at home in an engine room with a screaming steam turbine under me for a butt warmer. Normal temp down in the hole on the ships I was on was 130 up in the vents. We cooked steaks on the deckplates sometimes. That is my kind of heat! And what I love.
The skirt comes off when it drops below 95. When it's in the teens or twenties like it's been it takes me 20 min. to get dressed enough to go outside. 3 or 4 days of this stuff is just too much. You folks that deal with this for 6 months every year are just crazy.

I agree with these guys. I will take 100* all day long. We have to wear some thick a$$ FR shirts at work. No shorts here in the summer time either. You get a nice sweat goin' on when it's 100*+ and your rollin' in long sleeves that don't breath. I love it too.
This morning went quite a bit easier. LOL. Was only 18* this morning, but the truck liked it much better.
What ship(s) were you on RRranch? That's hot, sweaty work down in the engine rooms. I was a Crypto Tech on the Forrestal (CV-59), a carrier from 76-79.
