I've always had mine right under my legs on the floor of the drivers seat. As far under the front of the seat as I can get it so I don't kick it.. I Run self tapping screws through the carpet into the floorpan..
He mounted his on the door pillar, looks convenient to me.
Thanks Northwindone...I was looking at that location last weekend, it is the prefect spot. I was too short on time to start pulling things apart, but I'm glad to see it is an easy install.
I have had a Mag-Charger for year mounted to the side of my two way radio bracket, that was mounted on the hump, in front of the console. I have taken the radio out.
Anyone have a suggestion as to a good place to put it?
I read on another site once; "Maglites and SureFires are both great flashlights, but I'd rather have a Maglite. Sure a Maglite isn't as whiz-bang tactical as a SureFire, but one knock to the head and it's coloring books for Christmas!" I agree with this statement. I own both and I love my rechargeable Mag the best.
I'm going to mount mine at the base of the B-pillar like that link shows and just route the power cable to the cigarette lighter and just splice the wires into there since I don't use my cigarette lighter. I'll post pictures of the project when I do it.
I have both SureFire and MagLights. The SureFire is a great light of very high quality; however, my Mag-Charger's first home was in a mid eighty's Bronco. It as lived in at least four Broncos and three trucks. I replace the batteries every few years and it just keeps working. I am a farmer and it is something I use often. It is plenty bright and being rechargeable is a great feature.
Plus the batteries in a SureFire are too expensive to replace all the time. I'm happy with the rechargable Mag; it's the size of a 4 cell, and as bright as a 6 cell Mag without having to replace the batteries.
Hey guys, not to hi-jack, but I am a sales rep for Mag-Insturment out here in the NW.
My time is limited to the evenings for responses, but if you have a light related question, i will do my best.
