One month later and the weather (and my schedule) was finally clear...
It took me probably 90 minutes to finish, but much of that was trips to and from my workbench for "another tool". Now that I know how to get it done, it would probably be a 30 minute process. Very easy to do, and the write-up in the link above is awesome.
The seatbelt has lots of clearance around the light, so no problems there. It just looks caught in the picture because I had just returned the seat to my memory position. Once I got into the truck, closed the door and buckled up, things worked perfectly. More pics in my garage...
After I installed mine, I showed it to the little women. She liked it, and said she wanted one on her side of the truck. So, needless to say, I have a maglight mounted on both sides now.

On a related note, I scored a LED Mag-Lite (3-d cell) for Christmas. There is a huge difference on the LEDs, I was amazed. The light is brighter and whiter. Go get yourself the upgrade now! My old one is now relegated to garage duty.
