some problems... HELP please

Well I ended up picking up a tps... I get everything at cheap here since they know me. Im just gonna change it out and get it fixed I hope. I also need to change the thermostat out so I can have some heat. Ill post back with results on that..
Another issue I am having is with the tranny. I think its bad but I'll see if I can explain what its doing.
When I am in drive. It goes but it acts like a slipping clutch and when I floor it then let off it will shift. But if I drive around in 1st or 2nd it is fine. I talked to my dad about it and since im pretty sure the E4OD is all electronic hes not sure.. I had an older chevy back in the day and it was doing the same thing and ended up just being a vacume line not connected. It acts just like if you were in a standard truck and kept it floored in a gear without shifting. Then I let off the pedal and it shifts to the next gear.... Any ideas?

Improper signal from the TPS will make the transmission have weird symptoms as well. The PCM uses the TPS signal to calculate when to shift the transmission.

alright... well i got a new tps but i forgot a throttle body gasket... so now im waiting for a ride back to pep boys to pick one up... and then she will be going back together
