F150 transmission code

I need help here guys. I just got a 2005 Screw with 5.4 motor. According to a post here the transmission code with "B" is for 5R110 transmission. My door code has the "B" code. Is that correct that mine has the 5R110 transmission? I thought that was for V10 and Diesel. So, what do I have? Thanks HJT

In the F150 line, B is the 4R75E.

Yes, it's the higher-torque version of the 4R70E, which is itslef an improved version of the 4R70W.

OK, HJT and n578md....the timing of this thread is amazing! I have a 2004, super-crew, with the 5.4L gas engine. I spent this afternoon at my Ford dealer, and talked to a transmission shop guy, asking this exact question. My transmission code is definitely a "B", and I was under the impression that the 2004 5.4 L did come with a beefed up transmission - in fact, the literature stated that. However, the Ford dealer looked dumbfounded at my question, and finally the parts man said I had a 4R70W. I am sure hoping n578md is correct, for the 2004 models. HELP??
