Guess I should have clarified. Take voltage readings at idle with all loads off. Then turn loads on and check the readings again. You can also check the readings at 2k rpm's. If your readings dont change or are lower with a load, the alternator is toast.
Ok, so I was able to test the voltage tonight and it is 17!!!!! I think that is burning out my batteries too! Does anyone know if the regulator is separate from the alt. or is it all in one?
