Thank you, 400#s of salt, for making my driveway somewhat managable. The 450 felt like a pinball trying to get out this morning. I'm glad there is 12' high snow piles to keep me on the straight and narrow.
pete i have heard it from a few places/people, storm is coming thursday last i heard, and thats after the storm that is supposed to hit early this week. it all changes every 5 minutes though, so who knows?!
suddenly the apartment complex owner wants to do get rid of the ice damming and snow, he doesnt seem to be prepared to handle the task. there is about 3' of 6" deep ice damming. it would have all come off nicely a week ago. i will not be offering to help
the decal creased right on the top part of the F in ford and on the oval right above it, i flattened it out as best as i could but you can still tell its there if you look up close , boo
ok everybody keep your eyes open for a place that is selling the grabber toe warmers, MADE IN USA. i had a lot of them beginning this winter, i ran out and bought more however the ones i just bought are made in japan or china, and they SUCK. same brand, same packaging, totally different product depending on where it came from.
hello guys, heard slush for tuesday and possibly a miss or up to 2 feet for thursday. time will tell . just finished shoveling 2 houses totaling over 7000 sq' of roof. fun fun but made just about enough for a new transmission . Hopefully i get a few more calls with people panicking about thursdays potential and i can order it by the end of the week. I'm confidant though i can make it another storm or 2 b4 this 1 blows up on me{knock on wood}
So you decided you were, in fact, going to replace the trans again? This crappy prediction stuff is getting old. Although I got the edge on the plow flipped today. I bet the plow sits a full 2 inches higher with the edge flipped. (flipped it top to bottom to wear out the other side)
yeah I am ordering 1 from a company outta Florida, talked the the guy this mornin and I liked what he had to say, 2 grand for a rebuilt with a 3 year 100,000 mile unconditional warranty. He doesn't care if I plow, have over sized tires or race, he doesn't use standard parts when he builds them and gives a heavier duty torque converter and all important internal parts. 2 weeks and 5 techs later no one can answer whats wrong with my truck, everyones saying tranny is fine it's this that and the other thing, I replaced and tested everything they mentioned and nothings changed. All i know is it was some damn heavy snow and i was abusing the tranny, And when I popped the solenoid pack off to change it the damn thing was on there so tight I'm assuming the idiot who rebuilt it last didn't properly torque anything in the case.
Good evening everyone.
Well my drive is all clear and some of the roof-gutters are done also.
Then we went to Rain Forest Cafe for my little guys b-day dinner.
We let them chose where they want to go for there dinner.
I hope we do not get 2' of snow.

400 or 40? 400 lbs of salt is certainly going to keep your grass at bay come summer!
