gt40p heads?

advantages and disadvantages? and horsepower increases?
i have the 86 **** economy heads on my truck

Advantages - Greater horsepower and better preformance. I have been told like a 30hp gain but I never ended up doing it myself to tell you for sure.
Disadvantages - You will have to mill out the bolt holes if you plan on putting them on a 351. Also the plug angles will make it difficult because you need 90* boots to keep them from melting out on the headers/manifolds.
Overall I would do it if it was my truck. The only reason I am not doing it is because I am going diesel and dont see the point in spending the money if I am only going to change out the motor soon down the road.

ive heard that the headers are different for them is this true?

yes, get FRPP shorty's they are designed for the P heads.

You'll need 135* plug wires to clear and I would advise boots on numbers 4/8 plug wires.
