I asked for people's input a little while ago about what oil to run in the 7.3l and heard really great things about Schaeffer's products, learning quite a bit in the process. So now I am wondering what people think about transmission, differential, and transfer-case fluids? Anyone run Schaeffer there as well. It seems like if you do oil right these would be right down the same alley, just looking for some confirmation/other opinions...
You can run Schaeffer in all the applications they make fluid for.
I personally run Syn Rotella, Syn Merc V (Mobil1) in the trans, Royal Purple Syn in the diff (all I could find in quantity needed at the time), Syn Merc V in the PS pump, and Valvoline Syn DOT 3/4 in my brake lines. I'm 100% synthetic fluids now. I also run aluminum complex grease in my bearings instead of lithium complex. Better moisture tolerance than lithium...
You can't go wrong with the Schaeffers products, we also have some oil experts here that agree. I run Schaeffers 7000 15-40 synthetic oil now and the rest of my truck is synthetic also with various brands, Vavoline(trans-transfer case), Royal Purple(rear diff.)Mobil 1 in the power steering exct.
