Dunno if this will help, but I have 325/60/18's on 9.75" wide wheels with F250 front springs (dunno code - but close to 3" taller than 200k mile stock springs). These tires are 33" tall and about 13" wide and they only rub a little at the rear of the inner fender well. I think its only the WIDTH of my set-up that is the problem...
I have that combo but with the v-10. The psd sits a little heavier but you should have no issues. Others have gone 295, it is in the 305 range that you start to rub on full lock.
Yeah, these are 285, but they are taller than the size you have mounted on your 16" rims. They are 34.5-34.8 tall depending on the tire from what I've seen. I'm guessing they are too big, but since they are narrower I thought I'd check.
Just to update, the shop test fit the 285/75/18 on one wheel for me. NO V-Codes, just stock springs with 1.25" before the stop. They looked awesome, but did not fit. They rubbed pretty good on the the fender liner to the rear of the truck. These were 34.8", some are slightly smaller so they might work with a zip tie on the fender liner.
I have an '04' Ex with V-codes and 285-75's and the tires only rub at extreme turns and then they only rub against the added mud flaps that I have in the front fender wells. If no mud flaps probably no rub. Air bags in the rear so no problems there, wouldn't be anyway as there is plenty of clearance there. ALso I have a Warn winch bumper and a 12,500lb. winch on the front too. The winch was on when I put the V-codes on and the bigger tires on. It sits higher than with the stock springs. Looks good without having a big lift.
Hope this helps.
Yeah, I figured if I had the V-codes on it would be pretty close. But then I was thinking about driving off road over a bump with just one wheel, or coming into a driveway with one wheel first, I figured it would rub hard. So, I dropped down a size to be safe.
Alright, I have the 275/70/18's on now and they are nice. They are 33.1" tall. There is a slight rub at full lock once in a while. My truck is stock and has about an 1" before the bump stops. Once I install the V-codes I'll only rub if I'm really compressing the spring. Just for reference I have KMC XD Revolvers, 18x9" rims with a -12 offset.
