engine miss after going thru car wash
Hi guys,
2003 expedition EB 5.4 98k miles
Today I went thru the car wash, just as the rinse cycle was finishing, I felt a miss or two, then it got worse. shortly after the check engine light came on. When driving it seems to clear up for a moment or two.
I am going to try to get to a dealer soon, but does anybody have any suggestions about what may be going on.
I had the plugs replaced last summer, and I was told by the dealer the coils and boots were ok.
Thanks for your suggestions
Jeff

Find a garage that will replace it...buy the coil and plug yourself and take it to them
I never had a garage charge me more than $50 w/ some as low as $25
Take to autozone and hv them read the code which will tell you what COP/plug to replace.....COP should cost you about 45-65 plug about 2-3
Buy some KY if you intend to still go to the dealership....Im just sayin'
BTW in that 2003 it should even be easier to get to the COPs on that year... its the same as my 2005......it was my old 99 that i was talking about and some of those COPs are a b***h to get to
