Bug Shield vs. Car Wash
Like my new F-150. A lot. Put in the Weathertech floor protectors. Also ordered their bug shield. In the advertising I saw no warning about car washes. In the install directions is a loud warning to avoid the brush type car washes. Do I need to return the bug shield? In the Winter months I often run her thru a quick car wash.

We have Mike's Carwash around here and they're pretty good. Soft cloth system. We've ran the truck thru numerous times with no worries or concerns. Comes out looking brand new again. We also have the WeatherTech bug deflector...again, no worries or concerns using this particular carwash.

Touchless car wash doesn't seem to get the dried on salt/sand road grime up here in God's country. I said brush but they actually are soft cloth. I do want the protection for the hood so I guess I'll put it on. If it does get ripped off, hope it doesn't do damage to the hood.
