Dude you need springs !!.....you got to be beating the bumpstops to death !!...if there are any left.....
Funny you say that because 1) i dont have bumpstops left lol 2) im actually looking at springs and shocks. Recommendations are welcome =). Looking for more travel and maybe 2" lift.
Looks like FUN! Great info on the tires, I'm debating between the Safari TSRs and Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armours, which I have now, but the Kellys are a lot cheaper. Good to hear real world experiences, thanks
I have actually had the Silent Armours on the truck before and in my opinion they were borderline dangerous. The truck felt very 'skittish' in the snow and on the freeway when it was wet the truck was hydroplaning a lot. I wont even discuss mud traction lol. On the street they are very well mannered as well not loud at all. THe only drawback i found was that the tall tread seems to 'squirm' a bit but my tires are air down a little bit. ....wait for the best part.... $700 shipped to my door and $20 to mount them at walmart . cant beat that my friend.

I got some front springs from a friends '01 F250 extra-cab - dunno code, but they make truck ride 100% better and gave me close to 3" lift over the worn-out stockers...
I'm running Pro-Comp MX6 shocks set on 'stiffest' setting. Awesome! Still wanna change rear springs (b-codes?), install a rear sway-bar and my Landyot Radius Rods.
I have rough country 2.5" leveling springs and a 2" add a leaf in the rear for F250. It............nets about 4" lift for the Excursion....good for 35's
You should go with V codes front and B codes rear if you don't want that much lift
I just put a set of 315/75/16 (35 x 12.50) tsr's on my '00 v-10 ex. I have a 4 inch procomp lift under it. The tires are great. I have not had them off road yet but they look really good, ride really good, and at 80 mph the are quieter than my worn out nitto terra grapplers. I got the whole set in a 10 ply mounted and balanced for $795. Best deal i could find only problem is everything in this size was going on back order. The tires shops kept trying to sell me a 285 and telling me it was only about a 1/2 inch shorter. Then when i told them it what is was going on the would say no that is too small would look funny. So far I am impressed with these tires.
