Have you seen my thread HPOP vs. injectors it's got some charts from previous data logging. I'll try and find the thread. It's not as easy to search on my I phone!
No I didn't, but at only 120K, I don't see how sticks can be your problem... mine are original. Not perfect, but still running hotter than your truck is. Again, it could be HPOP or sticks, but it's worth the $50 shot in the dark IMO.
Thing is, yes, you were getting the same numbers as those guys in stock mode but your truck is a dog while theirs aren't. That's why I question the HPOP... with only 120K and the fact you're set up pretty much identical to Rick, I really have to wonder. No offense to anybody else, but that's alot of money to take a guess at.
Well, like I said, it's worth a shot IMO... beats a new HPOP. Buzz and Contribution are too vague... you could still have a slightly off injector and it won't be bad enough to fail CCT. What're your rotational velocity readings for all the injectors?
So I went to ricks to do some data logging and before we even started his screen on his laptop went out. But he had a monitor close by so we hooked it up and did a buzz test and a contrabution test. Both were good. Numbers on the cont. Test were
1. 0.7
2. 0.0
3. 0.0
4. 1.4
5. 0.0
6. 0.0
7. 0.2
8. 3.0
And the icp at idle was 570psi and duty cycle was 11.33%. this was all we knew to check without going for a drive. Out other option was through a generator In the bed to power the monitor but Rick wasn't buying that.
So if your IPR is goin out you'll have an oil leak and bad fuel economy? I have an oil leak thats not from the HPOP. I failed the Colorado E-Test cuz they said something was leaking behind my fuel bowl. Im right about 10MPG with 3.73's in the rear. Granted I do have an up-pipe issue. But I went from right around 400 miles per tank to just shy of 340 or so per tank. Im runnin 265's hiway treads. So where is this IPR thingy at? Can anyone put up a photo of it?
Here you go, but I got my doubts that the IPR will fix your fuel economy and it usually don't leak. Plenty of other things will cause poor economy and lots of things to leak. none of which have anything to do with the IPR.
I see.... Ill take a peek at that tomorrow when I pull into work. I dont recall seein any oil seeping outta that location either. But what the heck. Its only 30 seconds of my time. Thanks for posting a picture zx250.
Boost leaks are probably responsible for most folks loss of power and poorer mileage. Low tire pressure, winter blend fuel, longer warmups and even poor calculation skills also play a part in it. IPR and ICP problems usually show up more in codes and just bad running or no starting issues.
Well, didn't mean to throw down on anyone's mathematical skills, but I know some rely on the trip computer, or an odometer when running bigger tires than stock and unless you take your time filling up an non modded tank and fill neck, you can come up with some really different finding. And yes, some of us can't calculate it properly. Unless you can really figure how many miles you truly get out of a gallon of fuel and not how many mile you got last tank vs this tank, the it's sorta a guess.
My IPR plug is oil soaked. Its clear around the ICP. And there is a puddle of oil right below the fuel bowl. So I'm guessin thats where my strange oil ( thread is labeled Strange Oil Leak ) leak is comin from.
