I changed mine thinking it was a problem but it didn't change a thing. So what I'm saying is my old is still good if interested!
Thanks for the offer David, but Its too late, I just ordered one from Clay.
But I sure do appreciate it. ( I tried to rep ya, but you know the story)
What was your issue? did you change the ICP?
I did mine yesterday, and it made quite a difference in idle, throttle responce, and my surging is gone.
My old one was leaking oil from the elec plug.
Still haven't figured it out. Truck is still a dog and the thing that gets me the most is fuel milage. 10 empty, I'd hate to know what I get towing. Thought about pulling my grandpa's park model to rre, I bet I wouldn't make it out of LA and I'd be turning around frustrated from it struggling to keep up! Man I got to get this figured out.
You can use a Napa or Craftsman 1 1/8 deep socket and a ratchet. I 'm thinking about swaping one out with known good used one and see if it clears my romp romp.

Are you sure its not a combination of the big tires and those 3.73 gears.
I know this is an apples to oranges comparison, but I swapped a 2.41 rear end under a Trans am that had a 3.23, and the car couldn't get out of its own way. It felt like I lost half the power, and it felt like It was starting off in second gear. (ran great on the highway though...)
Just a thought...
I guess so but all my driving is on interstate with cruise set at 68 and I live less than 2 miles from interstate. My milage beforethe tires was only 10 1/2-11 1/2. I just figure it would of been better than that. I use to have a truck with 38" tires same setup but single rear wheel and it would get 15 all day with 3.73's. One day you need to come on over here and just drive it and you'll know what I'm talking about!!

Yeah, something is up...I'm averaging about 15 with mostly city driving. And I have a heavy foot. Ill have to drive your truck and see.
I used the deepest socket I had - 1/2 stuck on the ratchet. The plumbing tool sounds like a better idea...
I also pumped hpo reservoir out and caught the rest with rags. Frank, remind me to pass on wrenching on that greasy pig... unti ya clean it up!!!! (I can talk smack since I just cleaned my junk again - while the engine was out...)
Are ya sure ya dont wanna come up here and work among the 16" of (additional) snow we got in Jersey City? Its 'sposed to get above freezing today - maybe... TX doesn't seem so bad now does it?
What are your numbers for ICP and IPR duty cycle? If your pressure is low and your duty cycle is high, then it might be just injector O-rings. They're only $50 for a kit... easy to knock off the map. Mine have never been done and from what I can tell are still pretty good, but I wouldn't mind changing them out when I have the time to replace the rest of my pushrods.
