Question creaking/squeaking noise front end

There is a loud creaking noise coming from the front end when I go over speed bumps, and now when I break and accelerate. Does anyone know how do to fix this problem? It seem to get worse in cold weather. What is it that is creaking/squeaking?

If it is not the usuall stuff it could be your needle bearings in the hub.

Creaking

My Ex. has the same noise. My problem is the leaf springs in front are sagging so much that the rear of the spring is rubbing on the frame. Take a look at the rear spring shackle and see if the spring is rubbing on the frame. If not then its probably the sway bar links of even the ball joints could be popping if they are loose. Hope this helps.

Another problem with the X is the body mounts. There is a bolt under the drivers left foot and another under the passengers right foot. I pulled these bolts, put af loor jack under the body (just enough to take the pressure off), pulled the bushings cleaned and lubed the bushings, applied locktite and torqued them back down to get rid of that sound in mine.

I had a noise in the front of ours and the swaybar bushings that attach the bar to the frame was worn out.

Wow, looks like you've got your work cut out for you. What was that, five different sources of the same type of noise.

What do you want to bet we'll all be crawling under the Xs to look at some other problem areas we just heard of.
