The 302 does not make much low end power, I would not recommend anything larger than 32s personally. At the most 33s is all I would run with the 302 with or with out a cam. There is no way I would run 36s. With 35s you need 4.56 gears.
I agree with TexasGuy completely. Him and I have been there, we know how big tires can affect a "small" engine.
