Guy's,
When I do a VIN decode for my 1995 F150, it ask which trim package I have. My selection is either XL or Special.
How do I determine if I have the "Special" trim package.
I have an XLT for certain, but not sure what options were outlined a Special.
Ok, that is making sense now as I review the standard options listed under Special.
So, now I know that I have the XLT style and not the Special.
Thank you!
Yeah there was the Custom from 92-93. I think that they did away with it in 94. All I remember since then was the XL.
The custom was run at the very least back to 87-88... I have 2 88 F250's and I know I have seen models older than mine with a "Custom" badge on it! Sorry for the "Lies" sign TexasGuy... I've never got to use it until now... LOL!
I know they had that option years ago. I think that 92 or 93 was the last year for the option. I have seen a 92 or 93 with the Custom badge on it though. The truck was silver and had gray grille and bumpers etc with vinyl seat and not options except maybe a cassette radio.
In the 1992-1996 era the trim packages were-
XLT
XL
Custom
Ford dropped the Lariat trim after 91', according to LMC....And the Custom edition was dropped after 1993...
The Camper Special was dropped in the late 70's as far as I know...
Although there were different "Sub" Trims....Such as the seat material, headliner or none, power windows or manual, carpet or rubber floor mat, etc.....You get the idea.....
