Did you check if it blew a Head Gasket from getting hot, check oil dipstick for water presence or even pull spark plugs, crank motor(disconnect coil wire 1st) see if water spits out of cylinder. Other areas I'd check would be the coil wire itself at both connections, burn marks if rested on metal somehow, maybe carbon cracking at dist. cap/rotor. I would definitely check my battery connections, even loosen them, twist connector for new contact, then re-tighten. I hope it's the latter. Had all of these on my truck, but only the battery and head gasket when it heated up. let me know what you find. Thanks
