The airbag light on my dash came on randomly earlier this evening when I was getting ready to leave my apartment. This has happened to me a few times since I have owned the truck. Restarting the truck is just fine, the light turns off, and my ScanGauge II came back with no error codes. Does anyone know what might cause this too happen? Like I said it is once in a while, and has not been a very constant problem for me.
So, is there an actual problem or is this just a fluke? Like i said the light has not come on all that often, about half a dozen times since I got the truck back in July of '07.

No, there's not necessarily a problem. I had the same issue recently and had the same questions as you. Here is what works: when you start the truck, the light will come on, then off, and then it will blink; count the number of times the light blinks, it will work out to be a 2-digit code. For example: mine would blink four times, then a pause, then it would blink seven times; it would repeat this pattern three or four times and then it would light up steady. That translates into code "47" which means there is too high resistance in the connector under the passenger seat. I reseated that connector and have not had the issue since. You can google SRS codes to find otu what they all mean...I think it is somewhere on here too.
