I have a set off heads that were rebuilt, installed, ran for a few miles and then removed. I want to pressure wash them and possibly paint them before I install them on my motor. Is it ok to pressure wash them with the springs and valves all in tact? I was not sure if this would harm any of the parts if I was sure to let it dry completely before installing.
Why not use solvent instead of water?
Carb or brake clean should leave them ready for paint.
If they have only a few miles on them how crusty can they be?
Don't forget to at least use some STP or assembly lube when you put the rockers back on.
Those first seconds are critical.

That is true - they are not crusty. I just wanted to start with a clean set. (Hmmm...although they would look good polished rather than painted...)
