New computer flash?
Hi guys I bought a new to me truck in july and did an oasis report and it has not been into the dealer. I was wondering what a newer flash would do for me? Or what is would do for anyone? Will it change shift patterns? Or improve milage? So lets here it!

I agree 100% everytime the dealer touched my 04' Super Duty I'd get it back and it always ran even worse...that was by far the worst truck I've ever owned.....they'd reflash it and tell me that I was good to go and they never fixed the hard starts and engine missing...the fuel economy went down to 8 mpg and I'd be turning the engine over several times before it would start. I finally gave up and traded that truck off....it took over 5 yrs before I'd even consider buying another Ford. The 10' I've got now runs great and I'm keeping it as far away from the dealer as possible...they aren't touching anything to screw it up.

I've heard different things on new flash but one thing I did hear it did fix was hard starts. Which my truck does crank a lil before it does start.

Not a hard start ever for me except after 4 years and the battery finally died. Haven't had my 05 f250 5.4 back to the dealer since the initial oil change, and I was wondering the same thing about having the new codes flashed. Maybe it could help some of my shift issues when towing and the truck thinks that 5000 rpm is OK to run in 2nd gear at 50mph.
