Buy the truck - get it out of your system while you're still young - the 6.4 is just like a "high maintenance" women. it's great to take out on saturday night and show them off - but when you get'm back home there is a lot of maintenance, and its not cheap, the other thing is - you'll likely get hooked on the power of the truck.
If you've got a girl friend then you probably otta skip on the truck, most 22 year olds can't afford both.
I got a carfax report on the vehicle: 2/3/09 radiator repaired (46,587 miles)...4/22/09 radiator replaced (52,796 miles)....8/18/09 EGR valve replaced (60,869)...8/4/10 EGR valve replaced (87,646 miles)..still trying to figure out who to call toget oasis report (any ford dealership?)... I am conflicted now because one part of me thinks this stuff has been fixed so maybe won't have anymore problems...the other part thinks there is more of this to come.. Any suggestions, the more the merrier. Thanks so much for all the help so far.
If yer gonna use this vehicle just as a gad about, there's probably more to come. On the other hand, if ya intend to make it work, (which seems unlikely due to your youth) it'll probably be OK.
Th truck is going to work. I know I seem young to all of you but I work 6 days a week and would tow with it atleast 4 of those days. And this is about 8k-10k lbs each day for an average of 200 miles give or take a little. I will be towing bobcat, small front end loader, etc. I do landscape work for my dads company and this is why I need a diesel.
Hey guys, he said he got that stuff on a carfax report. I'v not seen too many carfax reports but they usually pickup stuff like registration, smog test, title changes. The stuff he's talking about sounds like Oasis. Do you think carfax is in the ford computer system? Just seems strange.
