Need help with an odd electrical problem
Hey everyone. My 2005 f250 PSD has developed an odd electrical issue. Here are the symptoms:
Power mirrors inoperative
Power windows inoperative
Power locks inoperative when key is in and ignition is turned on, otherwise they work fine.
I've pulled all the fuses on the drivers side but they all look ok. Any ideas?

I will recheck the fuses. Also I have a symptom I didn't mention before. The cabin dome light will not activate when the doors are open, but will work manually by setting the dash board brightness to max.

Jeeze....let me check some more, this is sounding like a grounding issue. A weird one at that...

Well it appears to be a door switch issue. I could hear a humming coming from the switch when it was engaged, which was a huge give-away. Took off the switch and removed the housing. It has some white stuff reminiscent or mold (but not actually mold, more like oxidation from a short) around the solder where the wiring harness feeds into the prongs. I am hoping this is the culprit.
Now it is time to buy the part from Ed. I think this is the right part

part 7, Regular, super cab Left - Power window - Power window - for 75 dollars. If someone could confirm this for me I can go ahead and buy the part.
Btw, according to Ed's site, he is having some kind of medical emergency. Best wishes to him and I hope he recovers quickly.
