Fly Wheel & Ring Gear 300I6

Im looking to replace my fly wheel.
Anyone replaced the ring gear or have any suggestions on this?

Easy way to install the ring gear. Clean both the ring gear and flywheel mating surfaces. Put the ring gear in the oven, set at ~300F. After a few minutes, the ring gear will fall into place on the flywheel rather easy, just use a hammer handle or similar to hold it down for a few seconds. As it cools, it tightens up and fits like it should.
If the female of the house doesn't want you operating the oven, a propane torch can be used, just don't linger in 1 spot too long....

Well that sounds easy enough.
I was curious about this because my parts guy cant seem to find a new fly wheel for me.

Just be aware, the ring gear and flywheel are both tapered where they meet. You must make sure you set the gear on with the wider side facing down, or it will not seat all the way down.

OK,thanks for the heads up.
I was also wondering if I could just flip the flywheel I have over?
