The ring gears are generally "sweated" on so the usual thing is just to buy a new flywheel complete. Hope this helps.

The ring gear can be knocked off with a hammer and punch. The new ring gear is installed by heating it hot enough to expand so it will drop onto the flywheel. I always used a torch to heat the ring gear, keep the torch moving so the ring gear is heated evenly.

Good to know i am changing mine next week. Do you just let it cool slowly
after you get the ring on there?

Yes just let it cool on it's own as it will cool quickly once it is on the flywheel. Good luck !

I should also mention that you should look at the inside of your new ring gear for a chamfer that would go toward the shoulder of the flywheel.

They do come off quite easily. Some ring gears have a chamfer and some don't - your new one probably won't have a chamfer either. Good luck - you are doing well !

I like to stick the flywheel in the freezer and then as mentioned heat the ring gear up and install it. It drops right in place on the flywheel and yes it will cool quickly but don't grab it with your bare hands right away.

Most of the time you can just flip the ring around and reinstall it on the flywheel.
