Aaaahhh my friend- that is a loaded question! You will probably get 20 different answers. What terrain will you travel? Are you looking A/T, M/T, somewhere in between? I have had ProComps that wore great, BFG A/T's, GoodYear Wrangler M/T, Swampers, now Nittos. I don't care for the Swampers anymore, I'm too old for all that, but I've had good luck with just about every tire I ever ran- just gotta be diligent about rotating and air pressures to maximize mileage. These Nittos I have now were almost $1200 mounted so I will surely care for them.
I'm just trying to figure out what my next set of tires should be. The truck will never see anything other then the good
Old concrete roads. My wife loves the truck and just like the off road look. I'm

Alot of people I know swear by BFG AT/KO's. Last for alot of miles, some are severe weather rated, but gotta have the snowflake on the sidewall. I got the Nittos because I like the look of them and not alot of trucks around here have them. Mixed reviews on TireRack.com, some got over 50k some claim 10k. I have over 8k on them now and still look great. I guess I'll find out
While they are not very aggressive (since you've stated that you're all concrete) you may want to check out the two offerings from Michelin: LTX M/S2 and LTX AT2
The AT2 is slightly more aggressive, and is what comes as an option on the new SuperDuties.
I just put the M/S2 on my '06 SCrew and I absolutely love them. They are super quiet, smooth, and roll forever. Sure they don't "look tough" but really I don't care. They perform incredibly in the rain/sleet/ice/snow that we've gotten here in VA in the past month.
Since you're leveled, look into the 275/65/20 offerings - that's roughly a metric 35x11.50" (also the stock 20" SuperDuty size)
Either way, pick what you want. We're all just hear for opinions, and we each think that our's are the best!
Happy hunting.
Good call MCDavis- I forgot about the Michelins. I have heard nothing but good about them, plus they last a long time. Maybe the next set, if they will make a 295/70-18 or thereabouts. Thats a 34.4x11.4 and they fit just right in my wheelwells.
No kidding on the lasting a while.
My M/S2's come with a 70,000 mile treadwear warranty from Michelin. That's mostly the reason I went with the M/S2 over the AT2 as the AT2 doesn't carry a warranty.
These will be the 4th set (3 sets on my prior Explorer) from Michelin and I will always recommend them. Great tire, if they can fit in your budget.
I'm no Tire expert but I know that Procomp doesn't make their own tires and that they switched manufacturers.
My new Procomps suck compared to the ones I had before.
Procomps are now and have always been made by Cooper.
