What year is the truck? Things to do for it is flush the old fluid out with new, add a good valve body, add a good transmission cooler such as one from a 6.0 truck or a Trucool. Then get a temp gauge so you don't overheat it.

He's got you covered on the parts you need. I'd seriously suggest getting rid of the edge product and going with a custom tuner as they tune for tranny shifting too. Look at php dp tuner tw ....etc etc.

thanks for the input. the edge you think will give me truble. ? hop not ware do i get php or dp and are thay ard to work withi do al my work my self please let me know. the valve body was my next buy but i was not sure . and tranny cooler is on my hit list to i was going to get a custum tranny bu dont want to if i dont have to. ps. bro im 0321 gysgt usmc . you thanks for the set rep.

2002 f450 tow truck
its a 2002 f450 she is the only one i have i dont want her to go down on me. ill take all the advise i can get i never dont a tune befor. so please dont stop give me all the info ou can thanks.

I don't think the Edge will hurt anything. Just give you rough shifts. Do you have one of the Edge programmers where you can monitor data on the screen? If so, I'd watch your tranny temp, and if it's a tow truck, it would be wise to invest in a larger or supplemental cooler before summer gets here.

hay great ill get the cooler and im thinking a valve body just in case . hayman this is good . i like haveing you ford nuts out there in my corner i fill ilke i got my own pit team thanks to all . simper fi bro. MP i wont hold that against you . ha ha my bro grunt. you guys always hade my back . even now . jar head for life.
