1993 f350 crew cab long bed 4x4 shift linkage

how do I replace the 4x4 shift linkage in a 1993 f350 crew cab long bed? the shifter linage broke off between the transfer case and the shifter leaver in the floor. it was the cast piece that go's between the transfer case and the shifter.

I bought a 1993 f350 4x4 crew cab long bed truck.and I need the diagrams for removal and reinstallation of the 4x4 shifter linkage parts. if you have the pics that would be great.

Only two bolts hold the shifter to the transmission and a ball / socket that snaps off and on for the transfer case shift rod. Very easy and straightforward.
Good luck finding one without emptying your wallet too bad. I've read here they're not cheap.

If the cast aluminum piece broke you can have it welded>> look here https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...ter-stuck.html There is also a doorman part number at the end of the tread for a new one

You can get a used shifter from any cab configuration, it doesnt have to be a crewcab

It was Ford's cheaping out on things that were supposed to be durable that caused me to buy GM's for as long as I did. There's a lot of really cheaply made stuff on my 94 that makes me wonder how a manufacturer gets away with it.
