alright how do you get the end link off @ pitman arm?

Yeah, this job is one of the few times that bigger isn't better. I have even got by using a small claw hammer out on the trail in the woods on my jeep

I also have never had one where I distorted the hole and you shouldn't because the taper of the tierod end won't allow the hole to cave in...you will distort the metal where your hitting the metal.

that metal will not distort, the hammer is number 1 method, use it for ball joints too....but now im just repeating everything!

what about a pitman arm puller?

Pitman arm puller is great for pulling a pitman arm off the steering box but isn't worth a darn pulling a tierod end out...I was working on a guys truck and he wanted me to use a pitman arm puller to repace the tierod ends, he was watching while i did the work, and when the first one came off using a pitman arm puller, it shot off and flew like 5' and I was like screw this and showed him my way.
