easy-cheezy. remove old clamps and boots. clean tubes with Brake clean or something similar. Spray inside of boot and outside of tube with hairspray. install boots and tubes, tighten clamps. make sure and order the intake manifold inserts also
Thanks, I didn't think it would be too hard. Forgive me, but what is the spider? Could you please point me in the direction of the intake manifold inserts?
The boots on either end of the IC tubes are fairly easy. The ones from the intake plenums to bottom of spider require the spider be removed. If you change those I highly reccommend getting these RDP Plenum Reinforcing Inserts™ to prevent deforming the plenums and causing a boost leak.
When I R&R the boots I use a corless drill with a 1/4" socket adapter and long extensions to get to the hard to reach t-bolts, like under the spider and at the IC. Also suggest you get the deepest 7/16" socket you can find. A cotter pin removing tool will help get the plenum boots back on. Another tip for getting the plenum boots on is to attach one boot to the plenum and the other to the spider.
Edit: Damn I'm slow. I could've sworn ther were zero responses when I started typing.
There is an o-ring between the spider and turbo but if it is serviceable re-use it. It is available from Guzzle Dieselorings.com Not listed on his site, just give him a call. (Thanks Clay)
When you have the IC tubes off, you can take the foil off the hot side pipe, if you didn't already. I guess you didn't if you are asking about taking them off.

Just for clarification that is the large one for the compressor housing to compressor back plate. Guzzle does have the correct ones but you will have to call him as they are not listed and are reusable.

Thanks for the correction Clay. Edited original post.
