Best replacement shock????

Wanting to replace shocks on my truck, was wondering what shocks provide the best ride and handling in the aftermarket category. have had Bilstien 5100 and thats like riding on a lumber wagon. and the factory ones are just a little too soft for me. so I'm looking for something in the middle. Any help would be appreciated

VERY happy with my ProComp RS9000's installed on rear on Christmas Eve. Firm enough, yet smooth. Not sure which struts to put on front yet.

I recently put KYB struts on my '04 2wd and have had Skyjacker rear shocks for nearly 3 years. If you want more control I would recommend Bilstien HD struts and shocks. If you don't carry much of a load or tow much the KYB should work fine.

I had the same dilemma once. My solution was Rancho 9000 XL's. They are adjustable and a very high quality shock. I have been very satisfied since installing them a year and seven months ago. I have them adjusted so that the ride is firm and controlled, but not harsh. It could best be described as like a luxury european sedan.

They can be done either way. I don't change mine often so I didn't get the module. It is very simple to just reach down and turn a little a little **** on each shock. Takes maybe 30 seconds per shock, nine settings available.

What is the recommended milage or time to replace the shocks. My truck is a 2007 with 50,000 miles on it?

I don't know what the recommended milage is, but stock shocks are usually pretty much done by 30-40 K miles. It seems most quality after market shocks are way better than stock shocks.

Rancho RS9000s are the way to go. This is the third truck I've put them on and I think they are the best value and the best ride. Being able to tune the dampening on the shock lets me get the ride just the way I like it. I run the Quick Lift up front, no need to spend the extra cash on a level kit, and it sits just right. Rancho had a program that ended Dec 31, if you bought a set of 4 RS9000s, they send you a free My Ride wireless tuner with compressor. $270 I wasn't going to spend, but it's nice to get something like that in the mail anyhow. Maybe they'll do that again.

Hi sorry for getting like this. I am new in this. I just both a Ford F-150 platinium 2016 and I am looking to change the shocks. I drive it 4 day a week in the street but on the weeken I always used it on a off road with lost of small bumped that make it jump a lot. I am thinking on the Fox 2.5 factory series front and rear. Any advice ? Thanks

Nothing like Bilstein, hands down are the best. If you haven't run them, you have no idea. No bs, they are the best.
