Is it possible to get the bucket seats and center console of the Sport trim of the Ranger into an XLT trim Ranger. If so, can I get a dealership to do this and about how much might it cost?
best way is to find them in a wrecking yard and if possible see if they match the floor pan, that what I did on mine. 01 seats from an explorer into a 94 ranger.
As to the dealer doing it they will probably not, and it would cost a fortune to boot. Best bet is again a wrecking yard or ebay or .....?
I paid about $150 for my seats 1 side is electric. Since then I have gotten seats out of an eddie baurer explorer, they are leather etc, but actually all I want is the electric floor mount so I can mount a passenger seat for the wife. The leather was pretty well weathered so would have to have them reupholstered etc, the ones I have just need the base with the electrics.
So do a local search of wrecking/salvage/junk yards for what you want, in none locally they can do a hot line search for them. They should also have interchangability books that they can tell you what will fit what, just need to ask them nicely.
If you have an extended cab, look for seats from an extended cab. You can work with standard cab seats in your extended but you'll have to swap your seat tracks from the extended to the single cab seats.
Both my driver and passenger seats are power leather seats out of an explorer.
you'll have to swap your pretensioners and stuff from your trucks seats to whatever seats you get unless they already have them
