New here to FTE. I have an '02 Ranger Edge with a 4.0 manual tran. For the past few months I've felt a jerk or almost like I hit something while driving over 50 mph. It's not extremely violent, but you can definitely feel it and am concerned. No idea what it could be. Also, it's turning over twice as long to start as it did a few weeks ago.even when the engine is warm. Not sure if the two are related, but any ideas would be appreciated.
Welcome to FTE. This is a great site to get help on all things Ranger.
How many miles do you have on your truck? Is it time to replace plugs and/or spark plug wires? Is there any thing you have changed on it recently? Does your check engine light come on? Have you checked for any trouble codes?
What transmission do you have - manual or automatic?

Reason: Added question
Do you have the means to read any stored trouble codes? If not, go to an auto parts store (O'Reilly or someone like that) and have them read them for you. Usually, they do not charge you for that service. Since the check engine light came on sometime, there may be a code stored that will give you a starting point.
Iv was having this same problem and i put new plugs and a new fuel filter in her. It helped the jerk at over 50 but still starts a little slower that it use to, but better that before the plugs. So id try that. Let us know what you do.
