More hiccups! Going in to dealer first thing in the morning to see if they find the EGR needs replacing. 68K miles. Service writer said they've been going through a slew of EGRs lately. Don't know if those were all 6.4s or not though.
Less than 2 hours in the shop. New EGR valve and housing. Service order says valve was found sticking off the seat. It also says they reset DPF. Not quite sure what that means.
great result. I think what they mean is they did a manual cleaning of the DPF.
Thanks! I was tickled. If they did a manual cleaning, I wonder what prompted that. It had just completed a regen not 40 miles before I got there. Dealer is about 65 miles from the farm.

I doubt it.
Cleaning the DPF is an expen$ive procedure and NOT covered under warranty, as it's considered maintenance. This shouldn't be necessary for ~150,000 miles.
I think it costs somewhere around $1500 to clean these things.
