im not sure if you know, but the AE scanner is used for more than checking codes, it gives you real time readings of things happening inside the engine.. the WTS light means nothing, its just a reminder.. in no way does it reflect the status of the glow plugs... unless it doesnt come on at all... i think
Mike, you took the words rght out of my mouth about AE or other suitable scantools that can read live data and not just read codes.
The WTS lamp has no relation to the operation of the GPR or how long it is operated.
And your right, if the WTS light does not come on there is no power to the PCM.
OK, I know its been awhile. Here in GA we got alittle of spring the past few days. Since it was warmer out I did not plug my truck in. I got in the morning and it was high 50's to 60's and it seemed to start quicker. Still dont have a clue as to what it is.
Off topic my brother changed his injector o-rings and it seemed to fit the symptoms of mine but after he drove it for awhile his started up just as quick as before. What I am wondering is could I have air trapped in the oil thats keeping it from starting quick. My fuel milage is where it should be.
