Ordered 2011XLT despite the seats

Ordered a F150XLT S/C 4X4, Ox White, 20's. Very Very disapointed with seat color choice. In the Arizona sunshine, the Pale Adobe looks yellowish, especially against black carpet and some black trim, the Steel Gray is too light and looks really cheap (in the old days that was the color of the fleet truck/work truck economy seats). And Black seats in AZ? NO WAY!!! What a let down on an otherwise fun purchase. Just before ordering I wanted to see the Pale Adobe in person because that's what I was going to order. As everyone knows Auto Manufacturers don't want too many cab color options so as to save production/time money, so they have the same dash, carpet and other interior trim and add inserts to try to get a few colors to Feng Shui themselves together. It DOES NOT WORK for the Ford F150. I'll get over it, I ordered the gray. Very difficult to pick the best of two evils and sad. All the rest of the truck is Fab. It's really hard to be exited because I love my 97 F150 S/C 4x4. 188K, still strong and beautiful and fits my butt. Just got back from scouting for Javelina and ran like new. What a loyal truck it has been, WOW! Anyway got XLT chrome pkg,, 5.0, pref eq pkg, off rd 3:73 loc, XLT conv pkg, 20" wheels, keyless, and some minor freebees, X plan.......35,900 OTD. Still Pi$$ed about color, maybe the leather versions are nicer looking ? If the Pale Adobe would have matched the color in the brochure I got online, I would be one happy guy. Note to Ford: Choose/look at your colors in a subshine state as well as the dreary east. Got allot of good info here before ordering, thanks guys!!!!! Great site!!!! FORD-ON DUDES!

A true TAN as my 97 has. Like I said, the brochure shows the Pale Adobe as an interesting true Adobe, but to my eyes the real deal was yellow. Also a few choices in the Tan area would be great, several shades of tan is needed. Also a med blue maybe. Any other colors: Red, white, green would have limited appeal and would not go with the base scheme. These truck are allot of money, the interior is more important, color wise, than Ford realizes. Come on, three colors?... Black, light Black and yellow tan? Stupid and cheap. But I know, you can't please everybody. But I am a long, long time Ford guy and have the right to critique.

Go to Exactseatcovers. com and order a set of seat covers in the color you like. You will protect the seats, and the color will be what you want. The seat covers are great, fit like a glove, durable, and not too expensive. Good luck with the new ride!

I wish that I could get a silver Lariat with gray leather seats. I have never been a fan of a black interior, but for some reason, that is the only color Ford offers in leather with silver exterior. I'm probably going to go with the golden bronze metallic now with the pale adobe leather. I don't like dark interiors.

Another example of taking the notion of less choices better for the bottom line, not better for the customer. There are more wheel/tire choices than cloth. We are back to "you can have any color you want as long as it's black" Henry Ford. Screw Harley, King Ranch and Platinum. Give the majority a choice of interior colors. Since black goes with every exterior, look for black only in the future. I will check out that web site for seats, thanks. but the inserts and headliner and dash would have to fit into what I pick out. My wife even hates the color choices. I wonder what pinhead is in charge of interior colors?

Exactseatcovers.com: They have Gray, Graphite and Tan. I think the whole world is against me. Not so Exact either, all of their pictures actually show wrinckles and puckers. those are my dogs names! Just kidding. I think I'm just too avantgarde, too hip, too in touch, too demanding, too non-gray. I need to get more dull and try to feel more monotonous. Take it down a notch.......36 THOUSAND DOLLARS FOR CRAP INTERIOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have much the same thought on the standarg light gray interiors that so many makes seem to only offer now. Guess I want more bold colors, such as the reds, blues and greens.

I have actually passed on a new / newer ford truck due to the light gray or black interiors that seem to be the norm now. YUK, I second the posters request for more interior colors.

Interesting to hear about more wheel and tire choices that interior colors. YUK again - give me basic wheels and tires that will support the load, supply enough traction to keep me moving and be legal (inside the wheel wells) I could care not about anything beyond that as I don;t sit in the wheels, and really could care less about what *statement* my truck makes - to me it is about using the proper tool (capacity) that fits well (interior)

*Ford, if you are listening, get rid of the nose, go to a cabover design for at least the F250's and up, and make the whole cab tilt up so I can stand NEXT to my engine and work on it rather than laying prostrate over the fenders! It would also have the benifit of making the whole truck shorter, more manuverable and increase the weight on the front axle for best handing.
