Color match liner?

Well, after taking the plunge I changed my order from Plat. White to Bronze. Funny since I hated that color at first. I got a King Ranch black interior. I have seen one in the area not on the lot and really do like the color.

Now what do you think black liner or a color match pale adobe? To match the KR trim? I am leaning black since tan will show more dirt etc.

Does anyone have pics of a color match tan liner matching the KR trim ? Black on the bronze KR? I thought I had seen some but cannot find them now.

Thanks

I have a bronze KR and went with line-x color match to the body color and really like it, especially with the shiny finish. I'd post a pic, but I don't know if I need to have a quota on post before I can attach a pic.

I like it better than the other color(black) because it's not as dirty. Same quality but cleaner.

I like! I didn't think the tan liner would look good, but I was wrong

I wonder how that holds up to UV versus the black one... my truck is black/tan so I could go with either color and still match.

Hey Blown2Run, I might have missed this in another thread, but did you take out the handle in the tail gate along with the plastic liner? Hard to tell from the pic, but looks like you still have the pull out step. Either way, this looks much better than the gate with the pull up handle.

Nope, he doesn't have it.
That looks like my tailgate; no step or handle.
Now some owners have been removing the handle but you can easily tell the step is there because of the two cuts.

Yeah, that was what I was getting at. I have the step & handle (not that I chose to have it) but I intend to purchase the cover plate in the near future so I can remove the handle. I really hate that thing.

Why would you remove the handle? With the tailgate down on this new F350 SRW it must be 6 or 8 inches taller than my '06 DRW was. I havent measured it yet but standing on the back of the tailgate this morning was very different.

I would always go with black bed line...after the years of throwing stuff in the back of the truck...I would imagine its eventually gonna look nasty over time....everyone once in a while I'll have to throw something oily in the bed (maybe used oil from an oil change) and I just go to the wash and hose it off and move on..but with a lighter color I would imagine it would stain atleast a little. Any experiences so far anyone??

The "flagpole" handle serves no purpose for me. The step can be useful but the flagpole only gets in the way and make for a very uneven surface on the tailgate. I slide stuff in and out across the tailgate quite a bit and find the massive ribs that they tried to camoflage the handle with to be annoying. Also no matter what you do the handle gets scraped up when you slide stuff over it.

It appears that Ford offers a flat plastic cover for tailgates without the handle. I'm looking into this instead of using the metal cover plate. As for the rest of the bed I will go with Line-X. After seeing that picture, I may even consider colored Line-X.
