Whats up with the snow ingestion into the air filter so easily. I have a 2011 F250 superduty. I sucked the whole air filter right into the intake tube and filled the whole air filter with snow. What a dumb place for the air intake.
I also had to pull the mass air flow sensor in a frikkin blizzard also as it had snow inside it as well. It left me stranded for a couple of hours.
Not a ford basher, just lettin you know. The intake is in the drivers side wheel well for those that dont know. After this weekends storm (about 16" fell) I broke down just headin to work, just sayin its a real pain in the ***. Never had any problems in my 2010.
I had the dash light come on in my 05 PSD one trip. It was a rain/snow/sleet mix and it plugged up the air filter and intake opening while going down the interstate. I had to pull into a gas station and pop the filter out. I knocked the snow off and let it sit on the warm engine a while to melt out the moisture. While I was waiting I had to find a peice of card board to cover the grill. Put it back together and no problems for the rest of the trip. Only happened one time but it was weird.
He mentioned a MAF which to me would point to the 6.2l. That said I don't know everything that the new 6.7l has on it, Ford probably doesn't know yet either.
