Rear End Gear Ratio

How do I find what the rear end gear ratio is in my truck? Is there a code located somewhere?

Should be a metal tag on the rear. Or you can get it off the door sticker. If the rear is still stock ,one or both of them will tell you.
Post the number and someone will decipher it for ya.

You have to make certain you use the correct chart for the specific year and model vehicle in question (which wasn't provided)....

For example, here's the chart for an 03 F150:

18 — 3.08, non-limited slip
19 — 3.55, non-limited slip
24 — 3.54, limited slip
26 — 3.73, non-limited slip
27 — 3.31, non-limited slip
B5 — 4.10, limited slip
B6 — 3.73, limited slip
H9 — 3.55, limited slip

As you can see, the above posted chart isn't complete.
