The truck acted dead at home the first time I tried to start it the second tome, it was fine. I have started it three more times, while running errands. This time the lights came on, and it would try to start, but wouldn’t finish turning over. Knew it wasn’t the solenoid. Then found your post, and jiggled the shifter.

I would start with trying the gear selector in neutral and park, wiggle it, after that start with the batteries and start checking connections, solenoids. I don't remember the superdutys having a particular flaw for start ups.
